Engineers who still write the code they recommend.

Nudope is a software and AI engineering studio. We design, build and run mobile apps, web applications and AI systems for companies that need them to work in production, and to own them outright afterwards.

Most software and AI projects do not fail at the idea. They fail in the gap between a convincing demo and a system people depend on: the integration nobody scoped, the model nobody monitors, the data that could not leave the building, the agency that disappeared with the only copy of the deployment script.

We built the studio around closing that gap. Every engagement starts with a short, fixed-fee discovery sprint and ends with a handover your own team could run. In between you see working software every week, and you hold the keys to all of it.

We work remotely with clients worldwide and keep our hours overlapping with yours. For hands-on IT (networks, firewalls, devices and servers) we come on-site from Vancouver to Langley, and across most of BC by arrangement. When a software project needs people in the room, we travel.

Nudope is a Stonklab company. The group builds and runs its own products too, listed on the home page.

Six rules we work by.

  1. P-1

    Production over prototypes

A demo that cannot survive real users, real data and a bad network is a sketch. We plan for monitoring, security, cost and handover from the first week, because that is where projects actually fail.

  2. P-2

    Evidence over enthusiasm

Especially with AI. Every model and every LLM feature gets a baseline, an evaluation set and a number to beat, and we will tell you when the honest answer is "do not build this".

  3. P-3

    You own everything

Code, accounts, models, data and documentation sit in your organisation. We would rather be rehired because the work was good than retained because leaving is hard.

  4. P-4

    Privacy by default

Your data is used for your project and nothing else. When it cannot leave your building, the AI comes to it.

  5. P-5

    Plain language

Proposals, status updates and architecture notes written for the people paying for the work, not to impress other engineers.

  6. P-6

    Small, senior, accountable

The people who scope your project are the people who build it. No bait-and-switch between the sales call and the first sprint.

Who we are right for.

A good fit

  • Companies that want to own their software and data, not rent them
  • Teams adding AI to real workflows, with a metric that matters
  • Regulated or IP-sensitive organisations that need AI on-premise
  • Founders who want a production-grade first release, not a throwaway MVP
  • Engineering teams that need senior capacity without a hiring sprint

Probably not

  • Projects that need the lowest possible hourly rate above all else
  • "Add AI" with no problem attached to it
  • Work that must start before anyone can say what success looks like
