Server Management & Backup
Servers patched on schedule, and recoverable on a bad day.
Whether it sits in a back room, a rack or the cloud, a server needs the same care: updates, monitoring, backups and a written plan for when it fails. We take over that routine, and write it down so someone other than us could follow it.
Schedule 1
What is included
- D-5.1
Patching and maintenance
Operating system and software updates on a set schedule, tested first and applied in a maintenance window.
- D-5.2
Monitoring and alerts
Disk, memory, services and hardware health watched, so problems are handled before users notice.
- D-5.3
Backup and disaster recovery
Three copies, on two kinds of storage, one off-site, plus a recovery plan you have rehearsed.
- D-5.4
Virtualisation and file services
Hypervisors, virtual machines, file shares and printers, set up and maintained.
- D-5.5
Documentation and runbooks
What runs where, how it is configured and how to recover it, kept current.

Schedule 3
How it runs
- 01
Review · first visit
We look at what is there (network, accounts, devices, servers and backups) and at what is at risk, and you get the findings in writing.
- 02
Plan · in writing
A prioritised list of fixes with a fixed price for the first set, and a monthly plan if you want ongoing care.
- 03
Fix · scheduled
Changes made in agreed maintenance windows, outside your working hours where they could interrupt anyone, with a way back for anything risky.
- 04
Document · handover
Diagrams, an inventory, and admin credentials in your own password manager, so anyone could take over.
- 05
Look after · optional
Monitoring, patching and support on a monthly plan, or nothing: the documentation means you never need us to keep the lights on.
Schedule 4
Common questions
Do you work on-site?
Yes, from Vancouver to Langley, and across most of BC by arrangement. Routine maintenance and monitoring happen remotely.
Can you take over servers another provider set up?
Yes, after an onboarding review of what is there, what is backed up and what is at risk, which you receive in writing.
