Privacy Policy
Last updated
The short version: this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. We collect what you type into the contact form and the technical details every web server sees, use them only to reply to you and keep the site secure, and delete them on a schedule.
Who we are
Nudope (“Nudope”, “we”) operates nudope.com and is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact us about privacy at hello@nudope.com.
What we collect
| What | When | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiry details | You submit the contact form | Name, email address, company (optional), the service, budget and timeline you select (optional) and your message. |
| Submission metadata | You submit the contact form | The IP address and browser user-agent the form was sent from, and the time. Used to stop spam and abuse. |
| Server access logs | Any visit to the site | IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and browser user-agent, as recorded by our web server. |
| Correspondence | You email us, or we reply | The content of emails and anything you choose to attach. |
What we do not collect
- No cookies. The only thing the site ever stores in your browser is your choice of light or dark theme, and only if you press the theme switch. It is the word "light" or "dark", it never leaves your device, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
- No analytics or advertising trackers, no social-media pixels, no session recording.
- No third-party requests: fonts, icons and images are served from our own server, so loading a page does not tell any other company that you visited.
If this ever changes, this policy will be updated before the change goes live.
How and why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, prepare a proposal. This is based on your consent, given when you submit the form, and on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To keep the site and form secure: detecting spam, abuse and attacks, and diagnosing faults. This is based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
- To meet legal obligations, for example record-keeping if you become a client.
We do not use your information for marketing emails unless you separately ask to receive them, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not use the content of your enquiry to train machine-learning models.
How long we keep it
| Information | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not lead to work | Up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted. |
| Enquiries from clients | For the duration of the engagement and as required by law afterwards (for example tax records). |
| Submissions identified as spam | Up to 30 days. |
| The copy of an email our mail relay keeps while passing it to our mailbox | 30 days, then deleted automatically. |
| Server access logs | 30 days, then deleted automatically. |
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Hosting: the provider of the server the site runs on (Contabo GmbH).
- Email delivery: Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES, United States), which sends each enquiry to our mailbox and receives email sent to our addresses before passing it on.
- Mailbox: the provider that stores our business email, where enquiries and messages end up.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Where it is stored
The site and the enquiries it receives are stored on our server, which may be located outside your country. Email to and from us passes through Amazon Web Services in the United States. Where information is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards available under applicable law. Nudope is based in Canada.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Enquiries are stored on a server accessible only to authorised staff, in a file readable only by the service that writes it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please do not send passwords, production credentials or regulated personal data through the form.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under Canada’s PIPEDA and provincial laws, the EU or UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy;
- ask us to correct it, or to delete it;
- withdraw your consent, or object to or restrict how we use it;
- complain to a data-protection authority, such as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the authority where you live.
To exercise any of these, email hello@nudope.com. We reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Children
This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
